However, in Crystal Reports XI there is a bug that gives erronous results round new year. The best solution is probably to create an own function getISOWeekNumber. PASTI GAK BAKAL PERCAYA ZA.. I have only the standard version of VS 2005 but do have the full CR 10 Developer on another machine. I know VS 2005.NET Professional has a 10.2 version of Crystal bundled but I want to take the full CR 10 from the other machine and load it on my VS 2005 standard machine. Before I go through the uninstall/install routine will CR 10 work on VS 2005.NET standard? If partial support is provided, what will I miss? Yp g70 firmware update. The Crystal sites only mention CR 11 which I do not have yet and do not show the compatibility of other versions. Thanks for any replies. Ben Sorry about that I missed the standard part in your post. You are right it does not come with it only pro. I think the reason Business Objects is pushing more towards XI is come release 12 they will be making Crystal Reports fully integrated with Business Object. With Universes capabilities with Crystal Reports not just Business Views. I believe with VS2005 coming out and built on.NET FrameWork 2.0 they had no choice but to put out the R2 to stay compatible with the development environment. I am not completely sure when they will release the stand alone version of 10 that will be compatible with VS2005 like the one that is bundled with it. There is a guy named Kieth that post here from Business Objects he may have a better answer. I too have the same issue. I have read (somewhere) that in order to get Crystal Reports to work with.NET 2005, you have to have Crystal Reports XI. But, if it is bundled with CR 10. Shouldn't it work with that? Is there a product update we need to get CR 10 to work with the.NET 2.0 framework. Additionally, I saw a post somewhere that if you are using the 'Click Once' deployment, there is an option in the prerequisites area to include the Crystal Reports for.Net. I'm looking at the Prerequisites screen *right now* and it's *not* there. Is it the Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Report Viewer? Oh, I have VS.NET 2005 Standard edition as well. The release version, not a beta. If you have CR 10 stand alone and want to use VS2005 I would just use what comes bundled with VS2005. I am not sure if you can or can not edit CR10 file from VS2005 version with stand alone. To use CRXI with VS2005 you need to get the CRXI R2 from business objects site.NET 2.0 framework compatible. You must first own CRXI and have a valid product key to install it though. As a stand alone CRXI R2 works great. Couple things to keep in mind if you are connecting to Crystal Reports Server and Business View CRXI R2 breaks that. CRXI is not compatible with VS2005, CRXI R2 however is. CRXI R2 still has a few kinks to work out with VS2005, but will be a great product once that is done. I would recommend using the CR10 that comes bundled with it for a little bit. But that's the issue. VS2005 Standard does not include 'CR Reports for Visual Studio'. You pay more for Professional and you get CR bundled. But I do have CR10 developer. The engine for 'CR Reports for Visual Studio' is apparently slightly later 10.2x than my 10.x. When I get the chance I will install CR10 on my VS 2005 standard machine with the new SP for 10 and see what will work and what will not. I apparently am not the old one. I am not sure why Business Objects has been silent on 10's compatibility except for the fact they want you to upgrade. 11 has been out for a shorter time and has more SP than 10 already. ![]() Ben Sorry about that I missed the standard part in your post.
